The Nova-Strobe™ pbx Phase Shifting Xenon Stroboscope with NIST is an extremely sophisticated instrument with many features, yet remains simple to operate. With an operating range of 30 to 50,000 flashes per minute, the Phaser-Strobe allows for internal phase delay/jog and three (3) external delay modes (phase-shifting). The pbx also has the ability to run for up to 2 hours with the internal rechargeable batteries or continuously with the AC power supply/charger (PSC-pbxU) provided. The velocity-sensitive adjustment knob allows for coarse and fine flash rate adjustments quickly and easily with significantly better resolution than competitive units.
Purchase individually or in kit form which ships in a deluxe carry case with foam inserts and a spare flashtube (lamp). NIST Traceable Certificate included.

Detailed Description
The Nova-Strobe™ pbx (Phaser-Strobe) Phase Shifting Xenon Stroboscope with NIST is part of the Nova-Strobe™ family of xenon stroboscopes that incorporates all the unique design features of the Deluxe Nova-Strobe™ dbx with an increased operating range of 30 to 50,000 flashes per minute and external phase-shifting (phase or time delay and virtual slow motion). The pbx also has the ability to run for up to 2 hours with the internal rechargeable batteries or continuously with the AC power supply/charger (PSC-pbxU) provided.
The pbx weighs only 1.9 lbs (0.86 kg) and comes with a universal power supply/recharger (115/230 Vac with US and European power cords). Recharge time is 4-5 hours.
A large digital LCD is easy to read and flash rates can be displayed in flashes per minute (FPM) or flashes per second (Hz). The digital adjustment knob allows for quick and accurate adjustment of the desired flash rate, and nine flash rates can be stored in memory. Six keypad buttons provide easy control over the strobe’s powerful features including the Times 2 (x2) and Divide by 2 (÷2) push buttons which allow easy checking for actual RPM, harmonics, and allow stop motion beyond the 50,000 FPM limit. Individual input and output TTL jacks (1/8″ phone) provide power to remote sensors and allow daisy-chaining multiple strobes.
