Monarch Instrument’s Fastest, Sharpest Image Rendering Stroboscopes!

We have combined all the features of our handheld LED stroboscopes together with a full function laser tachometer to create a compact, ergonomic and extremely powerful two in one predictive maintenance tool.  The stroboscope light source is made up of twelve LED’s which are extraordinarily bright yet extremely efficient allowing cool continuous operation and extremely long battery life (up to 9 hours on a single charge). Using the fastest flash range (1 million/min) and shortest flash duration (>0.002 mSec) provides dead-stop freeze frame, slow-motion forward/backwards, and phase-indexing in a durable (IP54), handheld instrument.

Monarch Instrument’s ultra-high intensity Nova-Pro® LED technology provides both white and UV illumination without the harmful effects of ozone. Monarch Instrument’s Nova-Pro® strobes produce ultra-uniform light patterns to ensure accurate color recognition and better print quality results.

Sharpest Freeze-Frame Image Rendering Capabilities Available

As press speeds increase from 8,000 to 20,000 and now 40,000 impression/hour using curing units, Monarch Instrument’s strobes are keeping up with 8-20 times faster flash rates than conventional strobes (1 million/min) and adjustable flash durations as low as 0.001 mSec. The Nova-Pro® 300 and 500 models have an integrated laser tachometer so processing equipment speeds are synchronized instantaneously with a squeeze of the trigger, or they can be coordinated with vision systems and down-stream production units by using the on-board input/output ports. The brilliance behind their patent pending technology provides the brightest flash in the shortest time with a homogenous wash of light for sharper imagery.

UV Printing Applications of the Nova-Pro®

With better integration of CTP technologies, variable printing, specialty conversions, and laminated packaging offset, flexo, digital, and inkjet are all favoring web systems. On-press, full-speed, quality checks using strobes have become critical to press operators and production managers. Because of the ever-growing counterfeiting trade, UV invisible inks are used for brand identification, supply chain traceability, ballots, event tickets, pharmaceutical labels, and special effects in printing. Invisible inks are available for every print medium; varnishes, gels, powders, dyes, dispersions, and plastisols.

To see UV invisible ink on press, Monarch has two UV strobes that span the UVA printers ink range, the Nova-Pro® 365 and Nova-Pro® 385. By eliminating UV filtration used by other strobe manufacturers and incorporating true UV-LED technologies, the Nova-Pro® Series provides the brightest light and sharpest imagery for QC personnel responsible for ink densities, color, and brilliance in fluorescing capabilities.

The Nova-Pro® IR 850 is a handheld infrared (IR) LED stroboscope used most for stop-motion inspection and stop-motion photography/filming. The stroboscope light source is comprised of twelve (12) 850nm LEDs. The IR 850 has a long battery life – up to 9 hours on a single charge. With the optional AC adapter, continuous operation is possible.
