A digital, battery-powered laser tachometer, that operates up to 25 feet* [8 meters] from a reflective target using a Class 2 laser light source, the PLT200 has an ergonomic design that allows safe, direct line-of-sight viewing of both the target and the display at the same time while providing a non-slip rubber surface for single-hand operation.
The PLT200 is a multipurpose, noncontact optical tachometer with 32-function tachometer/rate meter, totalizer/counter, and timer (stopwatch) that is programmable in both imperial and metric units. Designed with two phone plug connectors, the PLT200 can be paired with Monarch Instrument’s Remote Contact Assembly (RCA) or remote contacts.

The PLT200 is sold as standalone device and in kit form. The kit is supplied complete with a Remote Contact Assembly including concave and convex tips and a 10 cm linear speed wheel, all in a latching carrying case. Sensors, 12- inch Contact Wheel, and input/output cable are optional.

Remote Contact Assembly (RCA)
With the PLT200 Tachometer, measurement of units in addition to Revs requires the attachment of the Remote Contact Assembly (RCA) and tips/wheels. With this attachment, the tachometer can measure RATE inputs-revs, inches, feet, yards, centimeters, and meters either per second, per minute, or per hour, as well as miles per hour. The RCA includes two contact tips (concave and convex) and a 10 cm linear contact wheel.
