The DataChart™ DC1250 is a feature-rich data acquisition system offering 2 universally configurable inputs for measuring DC voltage, DC current, thermocouples, and RTDs as well as frequency and pulse inputs. Four (4) internal alarm setpoints, 2 alarm relay outputs, and 1 digital control input are standard. A maximum storage rate of 100 samples per second can be set for both channels allowing for the capture of short duration process signal anomalies.
The DC1250 is an economical dual input process recorder. CompactFlash cards up to 2 GB in size can be used allowing many data points to be stored over long periods of time. The DC1250 can be used in configuration with many of Monarch’s speed measurement sensors; power for sensors is provided from the recorder’s rear terminals.
With intuitive operation, flexible input configuration, and versatile standard features, the DataChart DC1250 is a powerful, compact recorder.
A Clear View
The DC1250 has a highly reflective twisted nematic LCD with a bright white LED backlight. The graphic user interface can be configured to display real-time data in a digital or trend format. Configuring the DC1250 is an intuitive process that uses an easy-to-follow menu system.
Versatile Power
The DC1250 is supplied with a universal wall transformer power supply that can operate from 100-240 V ac 50/60 Hz. Interchangeable plugs for UK, EUR, North American, and AUS are also supplied.
Isolated input power of 12-24 V dc is also available for use with instrument power supplies or external batteries. The DC1250’s real-time clock and internal RAM have a battery backup to preserve data in the event of a power loss.
If losing data during a power outage is a concern, the user can add the rechargeable battery pack option. With the battery pack option installed, the DC1250 automatically keeps the rechargeable NiMH batteries charged to capacity. In the event of a power loss, the DC1250 automatically switches over to internal battery power. All functions continue to operate as normal for up to 6 hours! This option is also great for using the DC1250 in areas where no AC or DC power is available.
Ethernet Communication
A rear accessible RJ45 Ethernet port is available. With this option, the DC1250 can be connected to any Standard 10/100BaseT Network. Access and transfer data stored on the compact flash card. View real-time trended data and remotely control and configure recorder with Navigator software. The built-in web server allows real-time data viewing with only an internet browser.
USB Communication
A front-accessible USB port is available. Access and transfer data stored on the compact flash card. View real-time trended data and remotely control and configure recorder with Navigator software. A USB port cannot be ordered with an Ethernet option.
Navigator Software
DataChart® Navigator Software makes reviewing, printing, and exporting data easier than ever. Simply start the program, double-click the data file, and Navigator does the rest. Your data file is displayed in one graphic window complete with the scales as programmed in the DC1250 as well as date and time stamps. You can expand, compress, or use the box zoom to display specific areas of data as needed. The print preview feature allows review prior to printing.
Exporting data is as simple as clicking the Excel™ Icon in the Data table export window. Navigator automatically converts the historic data, starts up Excel™, and loads your data into an organized spreadsheet.
Measure RPM
The DC1250 can be used in conjunction with many of Monarch Instrument’s speed measurement sensors. Power for sensors is provided from the DC1250 rear terminals. Measure, display, and record RPM range from 0 – 600,000. Choose the sensor best suited for your application or take your existing signal (0 – 5 V TTL) directly into the DC1250.
The DataChart™ DC1250 is a versatile solid-state data recorder/panel indicator. It has all the capability of a traditional paper recorder – variable chart speeds, the ability to review historic data, see trends and more, with a number of specific exceptions – NO PAPER to jam, no ink to smudge and no pens to clog or break. The data is stored on a CompactFlash® memory card, which can be easily transported.
The DC1250 does all the regular functions a lot better, and the data can be transferred directly into reports, spreadsheets or analysis programs. Data can be examined and archived on any Windows® compatible machine and can be printed out in various formats as required.
This instrument has two universal inputs so it can measure voltage, current, thermocouples and RTDs by simply selecting them from the menu. It also has two potential free alarm output contacts and an isolated digital input. The display can be user configured to graphics, digital or a combination. Maximum data storage is 2 gigabytes. Communication options include USB and Ethernet ports.
Things are done a little differently in a paperless recorder and there are a few new concepts that you may need to become familiar with. There are more features and
functions in this unit than you will probably use. It is recommended that you read this manual in its entirety before attempting to use the instrument.
